Happy God
So I haven't posted really happy thoughts on this blog and I just was thinking when we look at God are we always supposed to be solemn and and having epiphanies? I mean is God all business all the time? Well I guess thats not the best way of putting it but God wants to be with you even when your having fun we cant just look at him as a king because he is more than that it says in the bible that God wants to be our friend. So when you're with your friends are you always saying I'm sorry or talking about deep things in your life? I don't. I have fun I joke around and play with them I'm not saying get out a chess set and try and get God to play against you. I am saying that maybe we don't see God for everything he is. Okay I'm going to pose a question that I don't think anyone on earth can answer did the disciples of Jesus never have really fun times with Jesus? It's really hard to say because the bible(as far as I know)doesn't mention those times. Okay I'm going to give you an example of something that happened to a friend of mine he was walking home from school and its a very cold winter day and its raining. Every drop of rain stings a little right? well he looks up and joking shakes his fist and says, "Is that the best you can do?". Well he looks back down and a ton of pine needles from a nearby pine tree come blowing into his face. He laughs at this and he says it was Gods sense of humor I agree with him we were made in the image of God and we have humor. I don't believe its exactly the same as God has but I believe he does have humor. What do you think? Is God more than a king is he someone you can have fun with?

Worship
So I realized after I wrote the post "Stereotypes" That I put a few good questions in there that I didn't say much about them. So I'm going to talk about one of them, Worship. Every church I have ever been to or heard about has had a band that played praise songs. Everyone calls this worship but is that it? I mean is worship just songs that we sing in church? I actually am going to answer this question because some have asked me to answer some of them. No, worship is not songs we sing in church. Worship is complex one of the best ways I have found to explain it is its an expression of how you feel towards God not just in song but with everything you do. But I have recently thought it was a bit more than that it also is God coming to you and when you truly get into worship you feel him. So with worship in church why don't we invite God into the church with a joyful noise. Its seems that in a lot of churches we stay with singing hymns really slow I'm not saying hymns are bad just we should do more than that. I honestly don't know everything about worship but I'd like to think I have some idea of what it is. I have also noticed that worship and leading worship are two different things. Just because you are able to get into worship it does not mean that you are leading other people in worship effectively. And in the end that should be the goal of every member of the worship team. I have noticed many people in worship teams has lost this focus they play because they want to play their instrument. Do you think this is the way to worship being concerned only with what you want and not about leading the congregation in worship?

Are You Comfortable?
Are you comfortable in your life? Should you be? We are in the middle of a war aren't we? Yes the bible says that God will give you times when you can rest and its only seems right he rested on the seventh day when he was making the universe. But then shouldn't we only be resting one seventh of the time? I guess you could say we aren't God. That is true but he was also doing a lot more than we ever have to do. So if we are in the middle of a spiritual war what is our job? Well I believe like in a real army the one who has the highest rank tells you what to do. But do we listen? And are we doing our job? If you are feeling comfortable are you really on a specific side of the war or are you half and half part for God part for Satan? And what if you decide to go against God? Will he attack you? Well non-Christians don't have lives that have no problems. So when you feel comfortable do you think you are a threat to either side? Where does your loyalty lie?
Stereotypes
So I've kinda hit a block on what to write on next I have lots of things I want to tell people in the church but that would go against what I said I would do. I said I wouldn't tell you the answers so that you could listen to God and form your own opinion. Sometimes I don't think there is one answer to any of these questions but somethings that go on in the church bug me. Sometimes I wonder if most people in the church have actually thought about questions like my first one. Do they think that church is what makes us different? Cause I don't believe that do you? What about worship in church what is it and why do we have it in church? While I'm at it what is the point of church? When I was thinking about this I started wondering about the stereotypical Christian and how far off it is from real Christians. I noticed that it depends on what a real Christian is. I used to always think that non-Christians didn't get Christianity and that the stereotypes were wrong. But look at the stereotypes are you that much different? Or how about people in your church are they much different? Now I'm not trying to tell you that you aren't a good or real Christian I'm just trying to get the point across that if we think these stereotypes are wrong we need to prove it. Do you think there are some truths in those stereotypes even if its not with you but other Christians? Do you think Christians have an answer in their mind to my first question cause I believe that all Christians should be able to answer it or they shouldn't call themselves a Christian. So what do you believe? Do you think you have an answer?

What is Being a Christian?
Who are we? Why do we call ourselves Christians if we don't have anything different with us then everyone else? Well I thought about this lots and again I'm not going to give you an answer but what makes us different? When I was younger I believed it was because we didn't sin but the rest of the world did. But that was flat out wrong if thats what a Christian is I'm not one I sin ALL the time. So I looked it up and Christian means Christ like. Well...that should explain it right but we are not the same as Jesus we sin but Jesus paid the price so that we could be forgiven of our sins and make us more like Christ. So is that it does being a Christian just mean that you ask God for forgiveness all the time? For me there were always people in my life that I thought were amazing Christians and if you have anyone you feel that way about ask yourself or even them why you see God in them. What is it to be Christ like?
First Post.
Well I'm not too sure how I'm supposed to do this but I thought I may as well tell you why I decided to do it. Basically I have had a lot of ideas around Christianity that I want to put out there so people may be able to get closer to God through this. Unfortunately I am not that good at being persistent with things so I'm not sure how long this will go on for even though I would like to continue this as best I can. So I'm not going to go on about what happened through my days but I will tell you experiences I have had through life to ask questions, and as of this moment I have decided to post the questions but not answer them for you. This, I hope, will get you to use the brain God gave you to actually think about it. There is no point in telling you about God you must experience him and draw your own conclusion. Thats why I am only going to pose questions and ideas feel free to comment on whats going through your mind.
