Worship
So I realized after I wrote the post "Stereotypes" That I put a few good questions in there that I didn't say much about them. So I'm going to talk about one of them, Worship. Every church I have ever been to or heard about has had a band that played praise songs. Everyone calls this worship but is that it? I mean is worship just songs that we sing in church? I actually am going to answer this question because some have asked me to answer some of them. No, worship is not songs we sing in church. Worship is complex one of the best ways I have found to explain it is its an expression of how you feel towards God not just in song but with everything you do. But I have recently thought it was a bit more than that it also is God coming to you and when you truly get into worship you feel him. So with worship in church why don't we invite God into the church with a joyful noise. Its seems that in a lot of churches we stay with singing hymns really slow I'm not saying hymns are bad just we should do more than that. I honestly don't know everything about worship but I'd like to think I have some idea of what it is. I have also noticed that worship and leading worship are two different things. Just because you are able to get into worship it does not mean that you are leading other people in worship effectively. And in the end that should be the goal of every member of the worship team. I have noticed many people in worship teams has lost this focus they play because they want to play their instrument. Do you think this is the way to worship being concerned only with what you want and not about leading the congregation in worship?
